The name of ‘Essential oil’ derived from the meaning ‘Essence of’ the plant’s. Fragrance and exotic aroma of essential oils originate from naturally occurring volatile organic compounds presence in botanicals.
Since ancient times, essential oils were used in a form of ‘alternative medicine’, known as ‘Aromatherapy’; Induced soothing effects and relaxation.
History of ‘essential oils’ going back to as far as Mesopotamia, ancient China and ancient Egypt.
Fun fact: Essential oil was considered as a precious element in Ancient Egypt. Specially designed alabaster jars were placed to hold the ‘Essential oils’ when the King Tutankhamun was buried, so that young king needs them in afterlife.
